January 2, 2012 - City of Fitchburg Swearing-In Ceremony for the offices of Mayor, City Council, and School Committee in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 718 Main Street, Fitchburg at 10am. Refreshments will follow in the Veterans Room.

December 15, 2011 - Third Thursday Film Series at the Fitchburg Public Library from 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM. This months film will be Remember the Night (1940) which tells the tale of a beautiful petty thief (Barbara Stanwyck) who has nowhere to go for the holidays but jail. The good-hearted attorney (Fred MacMurray) prosecuting her case can't resist taking her home for Christmas.
